                                      Joshua Tree Transplant Project
                                             January 18-19 2022
Co-operation between Friends of Arizona Joshua Tree Forest, Unisource Utility Company and Bureau of Land Management

The transplant came about when Unisource was proposing to build a new power substation near the Joshua tree forest. The company reached out to us and wanted to save several Joshua trees on that property and the co-ordination to transplant them began.
The transplant went extremely well as we transplanted 20 trees in the abandoned section of the Diamond Bar rd. realignment project.

The transplanting project will be ongoing if the need to remove and save Joshua trees continues. We thank the Unisource Utility Company for their efforts to support conservation when ever possible, as the growing need for utilities takes place.
